Spain's WaxTime continues their survey of classic soundtracks with a 50th anniversary reissue of Alex North's 1961 soundtrack from "The Misfits". Billed initially as ""the ultimate motion picture"" before its release, this dramatic Western is now remembered as the final film for both Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. North's score stands as a transitional piece, bridging 1950's pastoral orchestration with the 60's jazz-infused scores to come. Out of print on vinyl since the early 60's, this reissue features the expanded 1998 score at a great, value price.
