Riverside's 1957 release of Thelonious Monk's "Monk's Music" was his first recording in both mono and stereo, as well as a gleaming collaboration with the likes of John Coltrane, Coleman Hawkins, and Art Blakey. 20th Century Masterworks reissues this classic on blue 180gram vinyl, along with an alternate recording of "Ruby, My Dear" with Coltrane on tenor saxophone, and liner notes from Brian Morton.
